Banana Pancake Recipe

ree

Since the beginning of the Corona Pandemic and the lockdown, every day has gone by with me being really bored and unsure about what to do and what not do. Other than studies and exams, all I did was play my guitar and read novels after novels which were the only things that kept me sane enough. The sudden obstruction from going down to meet my friends and enjoy my time certainly would have made me crazy if it had not been for the various activities that I started to do. One of them is cooking.

The first dish I made was the banana pancakes, and here I will share with you the recipe to make those same pancakes and savour the tastes. So I'll first start with a little intro about the small round pieces of delicacies and how they came to be known as pancakes.

The Ancient Greeks first made pancakes called τηγανίτης which is derived from the word τάγηνον (tagēnon) which means 'frying pan', Another kind of pancake was σταιτίτης from σταίτινος (staitinos), "of flour or dough of spelt".

The English word pancake appears in English in the 15th century.

Now that we know a little about the word pancake and the origin, let us start with the recipe, we?

Ingredients Needed:

  • Bananas - 2 (more can be used for increasing the flavour of bananas)

  • All purpose flour (maida) - 1 and 1/2 cups

  • Eggs - 2

  • Sugar - 1/2 cup

  • Milk - 1/2 cup

  • Vanilla essence - 3 drops ( can be increased or decreased according to your liking.)

  • Baking powder - 1 tsp

  • Oil - 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Peel the two bananas and cut them into small pieces before putting them in the grinder machine.

  2. To this add the sugar, vanilla essence and the milk.

  3. Grind the mixture and ensure that the banana pieces are properly mixed into the other ingredients.

  4. Now, add the 2 eggs along with the yolk.

  5. Blend the mixture till smooth.

  6. Take a bowl and put the all-purpose flour and the baking powder into it. Mix it well.

  7. Pour the blended mixture into the bowl containing all-purpose flour and baking powder.

  8. Mix it well and ensure that the mixture is a sliding mixture and not too thick or thin.

  9. Heat up a pan and grease it with a little oil.

  10. Reduce the heat to moderate and pour in a little amount of the batter into a small circular shape.

  11. Cook for two minutes and then flip it and again cook for two minutes..

Your pancakes are now ready!!!

You can have them with whipped cream and honey or just like that!! It is totally up to you.

I had them without anything because the banana flavour was enough to make the pancakes a delightful and delicious recipe.

Go ahead and try it yourself today!!
